Fitting replacement blade: Hold plane firmly by the plastic handle with the cutting edge fdcing away. With the thumb, slide the centre tab down towards the handle.This will release the backplate along with the blade.Take care as the blade will fall as the backplate is released. To replace, hold backplate by tabs and fit
blade onto backplate. Re-fit backplate to plane,ensuring that the protruding edge of the blade is facing
downwards(towards handle).
