NiQuitin CQ Mint Gum is part of a programme designed to support your wish to stop smoking. The programme consists of 3 steps which you will need to follow, starting with Step1, then Step 2, then Step 3. Using the gum at regular intervals gives your body the nicotine you need to help you stop smoking. Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before using this product.
Chew slowly until taste becomes strong (about 1 minute) then stop and rest the gum against your cheek. When the taste fades, chew a few times until the taste gets strong then rest the gum again. NiQuitin CQ 4 mg Mint Gum can be used according to the following timetable which is designed to gradually reduce the number of pieces of gum you use. Step 1 - Initial treatment period: Chew 1 piece of gum whenever there is an urge to smoke. Use 8-12pieces/dayfor 3 months. Step 2 - Step down treatment period: Chew a piece of gum if sudden cravings tempt you to smoke. Step 3 - Support period: Gradually reduce gum use to 1-2 pieces/day. Then stop treatment. You are more likely to quit smoking when using this product with help from your pharmacist, doctor, trained consellor or a support proggramme.
